Baseball on the DS

What is the best baseball game for the DS? I don't have a PSP for the Show, but I may have to buy one if there isn't a decent DS game available

Short answer, there isnt. MLB Fantasy All-Stars is garbage. MLB Power Pros is Ok, but its missing season mode, or success mode. Your best bet is to find Baseball Advance for the Gameboy Advance. It still plays well despite being 7 years old.

What I wouldn't give for a Baseball Simulator 1000 remake on DS.

Heck, I'd go for Baseball Stars and/or RBI Baseball as well.

There was the Japanese version of RBI for the DS, Famista DS... I have no idea if it was any good...

And there's gonna be Famista DS 2009, due out this April.

Baseball on the DS is terrible. Frankly all sports except for soccer is lousy on that platform. I can't figure out why season/franchise modes are missing in every baseball game on the DS. They make it available for FIFA and the other soccer games where there are many more teams. Baseball should work well on the DS but it's been one colossal FAIL.

On this note, why isn't there a Baseball Mogul type of game on the DS or the PSP? I play Football Manager on the PSP and it's so good I don't buy the PC version anymore.

yeah, i gotta agree with rscaramelo, baseball just isn't working on the DS.

i just picked up MLB 09 for the PSP, and not only is that game made very well and faithful to the PS3 counterpart, but baseball is surprisingly conducive to the PSP console. the control scheme, nice display, incorporation of the peripherals (memory stick/wifi) all works out pretty well for baseball on the handheld. know it's not something you've got going on, but worth knowing about, i suppose.
