173's Superstar Sliders
I was using Pared's sliders in All-Star difficulty and for the most part, they were pretty good. But after a few games (as usual), I started winning every game like I do every year. Fact is, all-star difficulty is just too easy for some of us veteran gamers. I was playing as the Wizards and no matter what happened, I was winning. I was down by 20 to Miami with a few minutes to play and like clockwork, 4 minutes later, I win by 3. And don't go saying that I am jumping the gun due to one game because it has happened numerous times already and I want a challenge.
So I started playing Superstar and DAMN! It is hard as hell. However, after aa few tweaks and adjustments, I am close to getting it as realistic as possible. Remember, this is superstar so defense is much tighter and more shots will go in if left unguarded. I present you with 173's Superstar Sliders Version #1 (be advised that these sliders are based on Pared's all-star sliders): Level: Superstar Quarter Length: 10 mins Game Speed: 42 Free Throw Difficulty: 80 Boundary Force Field: 65 Injury Frequency: 40 (50 causes too many injuries) Fatigue Effect: 45 Charge/Block Foul Frequency: 61 Shooting Foul Frequency: 35 Reach-in Foul Frequency: 45 In-air Collision Foul Frequency: 75 User Sliders User Steal Ability: 35 User Interception Ability: 30 User Shot Block Ability: 0 User Dunk/Lay-up Block Ability: 16 User Freestyle Effectiveness: 48 (you'll need to use this to create space) User Dunk vs. Lay-up Frequency: 30 User Substitution Frequency: 0 (I do these, like Jistic) User On-ball Defense Assist: 70 User Offensive Rebounding: 40 User Defensive Rebounding: 55 User Fakeout Discipline: 100 User Short Range Shooting: 50 User Medium Range Shooting: 52 User Long Range Shooting: 52 User Dunk Percentage: 50 User Lay-up Percentage: 50 User Adjusted Shot Percentage: 44 User On-ball Defense: 68 User Poor Release Shot Percent: 50 User Double-team Effectiveness: 50 User Pro Hop Effectiveness: 22 User Drop Step Effectiveness: 18 CPU Sliders CPU Steal Ability: 15 CPU Interception Ability: 8 CPU Shot Block Ability: 0 CPU Dunk/Lay-up Block Ability: 20 CPU Freestyle Effectiveness: 40 CPU Dunk Frequency: 20 CPU Substitution Frequency: 65 CPU Offensive Rebounding: 40 CPU Defensive Rebounding: 55 CPU Fakeout Discipline: 50 CPU Short Range Shooting: 35 CPU Medium Range Shooting: 36 CPU Long Range Shooting: 36 CPU Dunk Percentage: 50 CPU Lay-up Percentage: 50 CPU Adjusted Shot Percentage: 35 CPU Adjusted Shot Frequency: 35 CPU On-ball Physical Defense: 10 CPU Poor Release Shot Percent: 35 CPU Double-team Effectiveness: 50 CPU Pro Hop Effectiveness: 45 CPU Drop Step Effectiveness: 37 Again, as you can see, many of the sliders are taken directly from Pared. However, there are a few changes that NEED to be made in order to keep it competitive or you will be getting your butt handed to you. And yes, I have extensively tested the field goal %'s and if you put them any higher than what I have them at, the cpu will shoot too high of a %. I only played one full game with these sliders so far in my dynasty, but I was the Wizards and I lost to the Grizzlies 91-78. They shot 45% and I shot 42%. Again, you have to play very tight defense in order to have a chance, but if you play too tight, you will be whistled often. Tell me what you guys think. |
Re: 173's Superstar Sliders

Re: 173's Superstar Sliders
Has anyone given my sliders a whirl? I am curious to see everyone's results. I myself played another game using them, this time against the lowly Charlotte Bobcats. I ended up blowing them out, 86-54, but it was in large part because they shot a miserable 29% from the field. I may up the cpu's field goal sliders a bit, but not too much or they will start hitting at will. I will try putting short fg's at 36 and medium and long at 37. Also, you can increase user freestyle effectiveness a few notches also, maybe up to about 55. That's it for now.

Sorry, bro...most of us are getting our asses kicked on All-Star, so you may not get many takers for a few weeks. :y1: |
Re: 173's Superstar Sliders
I'm just wondering, how are these with Player Lock?

Re: 173's Superstar Sliders
I'm gonna give these a try tonight, but how are the blocks? Are you seeing any superhuman blocks?

Re: 173's Superstar Sliders
I liked the sliders, I lost this game in a 1.1 second buzzer beater! Hard Faught game!
New Orleans @ New York(me) Points 92-89 Rebounds 46-38 Assists 12-27 Steals 9-10 Blocks 4-3 Fouls 19-13 Turnovers 21-15 Field Goals 37/83-37/78 3 Point 8/19-4/18 Free Throws 10/12-11/21 Off Rebounds 10-6 Def Rebounds 36-32 I took the lead the second quater and was up by 14 or so. Then they just kept hitting 3 pointers back to back to back. So It was hard to keep the lead. I had a chance with 30 seconds left to take the lead but Marbury missed his shot and Davis took control and hit the 3 poitner with 1.1 seconds left. I missed the 3-pointer and that was it. It was an exciting game and I really like these sliders. I think im gonna try these out in my Fantasy Draft Dynasty. NICE JOB!!! |
