Re: 8/28 - 9/10 Game Discussion Thread

I want him to hit 60.

The "bye bye Bautista" tour is just about ready to start now as we head into September. I can't say i'm exactly excited for the rest of the year from a Jays perspective other than maybe seeing the call ups play a role. Hopefully Gibbons isn't an idiot and gives any position players called up a long look-see.

As MLB goes, I know the Brewers have kind of faded a bit but I hope they can find a resurgence and sneak into the playoffs somehow. Still, Arizona and Colorado are great stories as well.

It's spoiler time!

Rangers had a 14% chance of making a wildcard spot before coming to Oakland on Friday. After the weekend sweep it's 5%.

Angels sitting at 21% today as Oakland comes to town. Then it's off to Seattle to see what damage can be done there.

I definitely want Arizona and Colorado to make the Wild Card Gimmick Nonsense Game. I want to see either Goldschmidt/Pollock/JD or Arenado & Co be in the real playoffs.

I've always like Bud Black...felt he always did a good job with the crappy hand he was dealt in San Diego. Glad he's doing well in Colorado!

MLB is moving the Rangers/Astros series to Tampa. Good move, obviously.

Moving to TAMPA of all places is a good move? Obviously they have to move, but to Tampa? They can't even get their own fans to attend their games.

I know it would be last minute, but why not try in Mexico? Even Montreal. This series likely has 0 impact on standings since Astros win division and likely top team in the AL, and Rangers out of playoffs.

Bruh, do you consider what you type? Let's have the games in a completely different country. Should be easy for fans to attend. Let's have the games in Montreal, 2000 miles from Houston, 1800 miles from Arlington.

I know, and I mean KNOW, that you want MLB to expand, and I know you hate Tampa Bay having a team, but this isn't about that. There is absolutely ZERO chance they even considered for a second to play these games in Mexico or Canada.

On top of ALL THAT, Texas is 3 games back of the Wild Card. Nowhere near close to out of the playoffs.
