Is Brandon Roy a top 10 player in the League?

I'd say he is, although I will admit that I'm a Trail Blazer homer. He's a 3 time all-star, rookie of the year, and averages close to 25 a game. I'd say he's up there, but like I said, I'm a blazers honk, so my opinion is pretty biased.

your top 10 is very much off in the sense that you rank chris paul over melo. to answer the thread makers question NO Brandon Roy is not a top 10 player definitely in the top 20 though

Reasons for rankings
1. Kobe Bryant while i am a homer. Kobe still has the jumpshot, still has the handles and is still a beast at 32 years old. Add in the rings and the multitude of other achievements he has kobe right now is better than lebron maybe not in the future but right now he is

3. Kevin Durant Leads the league in scoring (or is tied with lebron) probably one of the most dynamic players in the league might even be better than lebron at one point

4. Melo While wade does have the title Melo is a better player. averages more points more rebounds and has some serious skills

7. Amar'e an absolute beast on the boards and has over a 550 FG percentage he is better than dirk.

10. Chris paul. Deron has put up better stats this year than chris paul and something just turns me off to him.

From what I remember reading on these boards, most people think Rondo is a better PG than Deron Williams, so if that's the case how is D Will in your top 10's and Rondo isn't?

When I think of best players in the league instead of doing number 1, 2, 3, etc. I prefer to do it using tiers.

1st Tier ( Anybody that is the conversation for best player in the world): Lebron and Kobe

2nd Tier: ( Anybody that is one thing away from being in the conversation for best player in the world): Wade, Melo, CP3, Dwight

3rd Tier: ( Players I really like but think are like 2 things away from being in the conversation for 1st tier):
Durant, Deron, Bosh, Roy, Dirk, Possibly: Derrick Rose, A remote chance for Tim Duncan ( I just think he isn't the same anymore).

I prefer to use tiers because if I feel two players are basically equal, I just put them on the same tier instead of nitpicking who I think is better which can be subjective regardless of anything you use to judge them.

I have a feeling I am forgetting someone right now but I can't think of it.

Any list that ranks Amar'e "Show Me the Money" Stoudemire over Dirk Nowitzki is impossible to take seriously.

I am not sure why everyone thinks Wade is above Roy...They basically have the same stats. While Wade has 4 more ppg...Roy shoots the ball a hell lot better.
