Are Portland a legitimate playoff team

Watched last nights game with the pacers thinking gonna get put back to reality by the pacers but wow what a game so surprised seems to me they have fixed up the bench problem big time and lillard is taking a step foward as the pg of this team and Aldridge is playing real well. Really like Batum and and Matthews game as well seems to me that all these pieces are just the right style for one another.

So what is everyone's opinion of ripcity can continue this hot form to get a playoff spot out west our they gonna fade out?? Can see them as 5-7 seed and jumping on someone in the playoffs.

Playoff team? I think that goes without saying. They have a real nice team. We'll see if they're legit "contenders" though as the year goes on.

Playoff team? Yes. Contender? No. Indy-Miami will come out of the East, and San Antonio-Oklahoma City will come out of the West. Golden State, Portland, LA Clippers, and maybe Memphis are right behind them though.

Legitimate play-off team, definitely; and an intimidating homecourt come play-off time. Would've helped to keep Hixon. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the top four or five of the West. Personally, I hope they go to at least the conference finals, Lillard is the prime example of what several years of college can do for a player's skills but also their basketball acumen and leadership.

Couldn't of been said better myself the fact that lillard stayed for over a long period of time in College has developed his maturity on the court makes so many good decisions with the ball as a pg.

Spurs and Thunder are the 2 best teams in the west but I don't see them making the finals this year. Can't see Thunder making it with just Westbrook and Durant and I think last years finals was the last major event of Duncan's career.

I reckon a dark horse like Portland or Golden State could make the finals and probably get swept by Miami or lose 4-1.

They have one of the best starting fives' in the league and probably the best closing team so far this season. However I'm still weary about that bench. Outside of Mo Williams, everyone else would be benchwarmers on a contending team. But who knows, perhaps McCollum could give them that extra punch. Unless they further improve the bench, I see them as a second-round team at best.
