Hahaha. We'll see. It's not like your team went out and signed some past their prime and over the hill strikers because they couldn't land Shrek....oh wait.

Since the Premier League's inception in 92-93, only 11 different clubs have occupied a position in the top three, five of those clubs(Leeds United, Blackburn, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, and Norwich City) haven't seen the top three in over a decade, another, Newcastle United haven't been there since 2002-03.. So in reality the only clubs with a legitimate shot at the title in any given year are:

Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
Manchester City
Manchester United

The top three will also most likely come from this list.
Spurs are uptick now, but until the crack the top three with regularity they don't belong here.

And out of those 5, only Villa have stayed in the Premiership, with Leeds, Forest and Norwich all spending time in the third tier.

The only consolation from that post is that we've won the title more recently than Liverpool. And that was in the 91-92 season! It both pleases me and saddens me.

Re: The 2013-14 EPL Discussion Thread

Do the extra NBCSN channels cost anything extra on DirecTV? Tottenham are not being shown on NBCSN this weekend, so I found all these extra channels that show all the EPL games (in HD). I set the DVR to record Tottenham-Norwich tomorrow, and it didn't tell me that I am not subscribed to that channel or anything like that.

I suppose I will find out tomorrow morning whether it recorded or not, haha.

You have the channels since you get NBCSN.

Even though this was actually an eventful Interlull, it's good to have EPL action back.

Well, the referee sure screwed the pooch at the end of the half there.

Christian Eriksen looks amazing for Tottenham always been a fan of him even though I can't stand Ajax. Wish Arsenal would have swooped him up a long time ago.

No advantage play there? Awful. Took away a goal.
