2018-19 UEFA Competitions Thread

A new year of Europa League(the best league) is upon us. The definitely lower on the totem pole 'Champions' League has also started, but rather than focus on the games that have/are occuring, we'll start this out by turning our focus to Italy.

AC Milan has been barred from UEFA Competitions for one year for breach of FFP rules. I assume that Milan will be contesting this in the Court of Arbitration, but it's interesting that we have the first big club consequences laid down.

EDIT: I originally said two years, but it is in fact one year.

I think Burnley were given a tough draw in the Europa League up against Aberdeen. That should be a good 2 legged affair.

I'm completely indifferent towards Burnley itself, but I hope they fare better than the other non-top 6 clubs have in the very competitive and prestigious Europa League.

Burnley need to get some depth if they want to go far. Their squad is pretty thin.

We'll see. Outside of Celtic, it's pretty bleak up north.

Living in the USA? Hoping for coverage of these events? Well for UCL teams yours might be featured on TNT(2 games per week in the group stage) For Europa League and teams not on TNT it'll be behind the B/R Live paywall($10/month, $80/year). Every Europa League game, sans the final, will be on B/R Live.
