Question about F1 Championship Edition: Career Save?

For those that have this game:

Is there a save feature that allows you to save your progress in between practice/qualifying/racing sessions when you are in career mode? It seems you can only save your profile on the main career page and if you quit the race weekend at any point it forwards you to the next race.

I ask this because the 'Grand Prix Weekend' and 'World Championship' modes allow you to save in between sessions and during the race.

Why not career mode?

You are correct. You must do the entire Grand Prix weekend in one go while in career mode. I don't know why they did it this way, but that's the way it works.

Yeah, it was a major design flaw.

You can exit the game after going through all the Race Evolution settings and your setup will be saved. The major flaw is not being able to save after qualifying.
