I went back to 06 after the probation thing irritated me so much in NCAA10. It was fun building back up a program that was at death's door because of probation but in the end it was just too much.

Definitely agree with the height and weight stuff. I try my best to recruit DE's in the 260+ and DT's at 300+ but they are kinda hard to come by. I like to keep an upperclass DE in the 225-240 range...

This sounds similar to '10 on the PS2. Haven't played that in probably 8 years as I went back to '06 a long time ago. I remember seeing tons of programs on probation which was fun to take one of them...

I never felt like the passing game was too easy in 06 but do agree the deep ball can be cheesed. I have my own house rules about vertical passing where I rarely use it outside of the tougher throws...

PS2 has easy deep balls on 06 also. I just use house rule workarounds. I had to turn up the human catch slider because far too many short to intermediate routes were dropped and any contact from a DB...
