Make sure your offensive and defensive coordinators have the equip X Factor ability in your coaching tree. It's the first thing they can get in the tree. I'm guessing that is the issue there.

Yeah that is what I noticed too. And often times it doesn't even line up with the teams original scheme. Like some have speed rushing DTs for Nickel but run base scheme calling for power rusher.

The CPU usually does a fairly good job of making the DEs the rush DTs, and the OLB the Rush DEs in 34 schemes, however it is not perfect. Sometimes they will leave 34 end as Rush end or a pass...
