2 years ago Scott Shafer took the Defensive Coordinator position at Maryland then a few weeks later resigned. I imagine he took one look at what was going on there and got the hell out.

Its arguably the most iconic number for running backs in college football. Im personally happy its back and thought it was a mistake retiring it, hopefully SU can get someone worthy of it now.
