Yeah, Solid Hits is definitely the slider you want to increase. Bumping up Contact will increase the amount of the balls you put in play, but not the quality of your hits. Increasing Solid Hits...

For now I just have CPU Power + 1 since it seems I give up a fair amount of hits on HOF pitching, but the CPU struggles with knocking it out if the park. I might try it out though as it would make it...

You guys have tried bumping up the Solid Hits slider, right? It really does make a huge difference and saved hitting for me.

I would just bump up the Solid Hits slider. Directional is fun for awhile, but it gets really frustrating when you perfectly time that fastball right down broadway and still somehow miss it...

Their hitters just don't feel as threatening as they once were (I like feeling like I have to be careful with the big guys). I was giving up at least 1-2 HR every game before...now i think I've given...

Also what difficulty? Some of it comes down to difficulty settings, hitting interface...and even skill. If you're really good at hitting then you won't chase as many pitches, which will force the CPU...

No, I leave the CPU hitting at all 5 because I pitch on HOF and I do make mistakes over the middle and give up some HRs, usually at least one per game. You could definitely try bumping up the CPU...

I'm seeing better results after bumping Solid Hits up to +2.

edit:

Might be overkill though. Just hit 3 HR in one game with Rajai Davis. Maybe Power +2 and Solid Hits +1 would be better than...
