Re: Max Wolters | FIFA Coaching Career

Premier League
Week 12
Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers

Pre-Match
QPR travel to Stoke City who are sitting 4th in the table. QPR are 11th and 8pts behind Stoke. The surprising thing about Stoke City is that they are the lowest scoring team in the league but are still in the top 4 while QPR have one of the league’s best defenses and are outside the top 10.

Match
Wolters mixed it up this match using Iheanacho and Adams up top instead of the normal Iheanacho and Sylla. Hoping the speed of Adams would bring a good balance to the mix and it quickly paid off as Adams scored his first goal of the season coming off a low cross by Iheanacho who passed up a chance to score himself to give his teammate the easier goal. Stoke drew even in the 16’ following a penalty by Hall that Arnautovic converted. Two minutes later QPR when back on top when Samual shot from distance and hit the post, the ball bounced back off the rear end of Butland and into the net. But like we have seen multiple times this season already, QPR were not able to hold a lead. Leading 2-1 from the 18’ to the 69’ until Shaqiri curved a free kick into the top corner to bring the score level.
Final: 2-2 Draw

Post Match Notes
"I stood here 4 days ago and said we need to work on holding leads. And here we are again blowing a lead for the 2nd match in a row and the 4th time this season already. Change those draws into wins and we are close to a top 4 side. Frustrating. Very frustrating.”

Top 10 table

1. Stoke City – 25pts
2. Liverpool – 23pts
3. Watford – 23pts
4. West Ham – 23pts
5. Tottenham – 23pts
6. Man Utd – 22pts
7. Man City – 22pts
8. Leicester City – 21pts
9. Chelsea – 20pts
10. QPR – 17pts
