Well I got a Q answered ( even tho it wasnt the first or most important i asked), im going for another one.

The first was:

Q: Will locomotion apply to backpedling

A: Definitely, it affects forward, sidestepping, backpedaling (and all angles in between)

Questions I aked but got no answer for:

1) Will locomotion/momentum play a big roll in catching, like as far as needing high agility to keep balance after a long catch?

2) Will locomotion prevent me from magically lining up to make contact with a 'hitsticking' defender?

3) Was footplanting implemented to govern the locomotion thats been added?

4:10	Madden NFL Dev Team: Absolutely, the animations in the video aren't final. The stand to run foward animation was being scaled too much based on the accel rating. I just grabbed a video of the current state of the game at the time.

These live chats are pretty informative. I wasn't thrilled when I heard this was the route they were taking as far as interaction this year, but it has worked well I'd say.

4:37	Madden NFL Dev Team: It makes them move like linemen. You really have to follow your blocks in open space since you can't rely on them to cut back super quick any more like last year.

How will Locomotion affect defensive plays like blitzes and stunts?

Madden NFL Dev Team: The acceleration ratings of dlineman and linebackers has a pretty dramatic effect on stunts and blitzes. The focus on making those ratings matter more really allows explosive defensive players to make plays over shorter distances that they couldn't make last year.

....It's good to know that star defensive players will be able to make impact plays at the LOS this year. As a Panthers fan I got sick and tired of seeing guys like Peppers, Beason and Davis get stonewalled at the LOS play after play. Should make Vikings fans very happy as well if it works like it should.
