My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately it seems each year they have to release something gimmicky, I guess to attract first time buyers.

From my understanding, Ultimate Team isn't really that gimmicky. It's a legit game mode that really offers some fun.

With that said, I have no interest in it and I truly hope some of those features are brought over to offline "Be A GM" mode. Player chemistry that can fluctuate with success/failure. Line chemistry between players. Team chemistry overall. YES, YES, YES!

I'm sure I'll check this mode out, but, for whatever reason seeing this has made me start to think that BAGM is going to be exactly the same this year as it was last year...

Aside from a token BAGM season, all i play is 1v1 online vs. and I hate how it's just a string of meaningless exhibition games. Ultimate team puts meaning into my 1v1 online play. All those game i'm playing are working toward something. I think i'll like tinkering with my roster and stuff.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you can call Ultimate Team a "gimmick" when it's as deep, if not deeper than offline BAP/BAGM.

Here's a hint. You can either buy cards for cash, or you earn them in game by running up the score and piling up statistics.

Tink about what that makes online play like. One set of gamers spend stupid money just so they can crush your piddly team, while another glitches you to death, and are REWARDED for it!

The only thing that could make UT worth playing would be playing matches against your friends. But that is not included, because it doesn't encourage you to spend money.

Seriously, I love Madden UT for a month. Then I saw what that time and effort resulted in. It could be a great mode, but not the way they are monetizing it.
