Authenticity is always a big focus for the art team and this year we took things to the next level. Player proportions have been overhauled including a new dynamic head and neck scaling system that makes extreme body sizes like 6’4” 264 lbs Brandon Jacobs and 5’6” 190 lbs Darren Sproles accurate for the first time in Madden NFL. In the past Sproles would have felt like a child because his head would be too small while Jacobs would not feel as big because his head was too large. In addition, we now have the ball scale 100% accurate. Before it was 20% too large and looked like a beach ball. I can't emphasize enough how great a difference these things make in presenting an authentic NFL look.

the 75th patch is to show how long the nfl had been around back in 1994-95 thats the year the 9ers won their last super bowl.

I didnt play 11 so I am only speaking from my last Madden experience which was 10.......I HOPE the crowd is WAY more into it this time around. Sounds like NCAA put an emphasis on crowd noise so lets see what Madden does this year. so far......I like what I see. Franchise details soon, hopefully its what we wanted.

Agreed. Love the 99-08 uniforms.
The 80's throwbacks and the current unis look exactly the same on Madden 11.
Really, really want the 99-08 uniforms back... they were in Madden 09 so shouldnt be that hard!

Funny you said that, I was trying to figure this out as well.

49ers Current Uniforms are actually a spinoff of their 1980s garb....So, they have current throwbacks, but technically since this is a dead uniform, it's a retro. Though, they look newer than the current unis, which makes it all the more confusing.

Thats because they took the time to proportion it correctly this year.
