Re: NBA 2K14 Next-Gen Review (IGN)

There was nothing wrong with that fadeaway by Lamarcus. He had the angle on it and when he released it (with his hands positioned just in front of the backboard) his momentum carried him out of bounds.

He didn't shoot completely from behind the backboard (though I know that problem still exists. Just not in this instance).

Yea man REALLY looking forward to this mode. Before MyPlayer I used to always create myself and play through associations with player lock on me. Heck I used to do it before it was even called player lock, back when you had to turn off "switch on pass" in 2k5. Messing around with it I actually found out they had hidden Jordan dunk packages as when ever you made a character with that name and good enough dunk ratings you would be able to do fancy dunks as opposed to the generic center dunks they made you do regularly.

Exactly - couple key attributes here.

1. The crowd's anticipation during and after the spin move

2. The simultaneous whistle that is very audible

3. Moving rim with the rim snap noise

4. Crowd exploding, celebration, and cutscenes

5. Crowd buzz and eventual "coming down" atmosphere during FT's

Get on that NG Atmosphere/Sounds thread, man.

Yep, the only "issue" i'd see is every arena has distinct rim sounds, but if they were to use a real sound clip for the dunks THAT would be perfect. LeBron's one arm fastbreak dunks pretty much ALL sound like that. Pretty much any powerful quick smash. they could use sound from Blake Griffin/Dwight dunks for the more power hangs on the rim or alley oops
