Happens basically every race for me. 1st and 2nd just long gone out in front of the pack. No matter which difficulty setting I run it seems.

Yeah, I seem to notice that 1st place is long gone early in the race. I can sometimes grab second place, but that does not happen a lot.

Also to another post above, I too wish that the AI would stop ramming me.

Try turning off the drivatar aggression setting. Does that help?
