Re: Madden NFL 17 Player Ratings - Top 5 Quarterbacks

Edit: Someone stated the same above.

Not sure what the argument between Rodgers and Brady is about?

Brady had better awr, sac, mac that makes him the better pocket passer.

Rodgers has the mobilty that gives him the higher OVR.

Same reason Newton and Wilson have higher OVR than Brees. Look past the OVR guys.

Let's not forget 24th overall Ty Law, 65th overall Deion Branch, 42nd overall Rob Gronkowski, Hall of Fame no-name receiver Randy Moss, 32nd overall Ben Watson, 56th overall Shane Vereen. I mean, just loaded with terrible, undrafted day 3 players.
Not sure how drafting ty law (a cb) 24th and a RB Shane Vereen proves your point. Dion Branch left New England for Seattle and did very little. It's convenient to leave out how he made Welker a household name or Edelman who was a college qb into a pro bowler. Rodgers probably has more skill than Brady especially today. But I'd still take Brady in a one game scenario .

He hasn't been in the league as long as the other backs. I'm just saying there were 2 or 3 HOFer's in the list I provided that averaged 4.1 yds per carry throughout their career. I didn't say Lacy is in the same echelon as they are at this point in his career.

So, two good years and one average year comes out to be average at best?

Eh, I'll agree to disagree on that note.

I think we can put him in the good category of RB's with still more to prove.

I'd say Rodgers. This is 2016.Rodgers has been better in recent years but did have a down year last year despite receiver issues.Brady was good but not great. No qb played at a phenomenal level last year. Not close to a 99 rating in Madden.

Peyton was great until his last season and a half and I do remember him making guys like Blair White and Jacob Tamme look really good when guys were hurt so I disagree with Brady being the only qb that has done that.

And McCarthy sat him down for fumbling last year too.

Some Packer fans don't make up the whole fanbase.

And he is being over rated from a Viking fan, clearly non-biased and I get it.

No need to go any further on this, it's going OT.
Comparing players 40 years apart based on stats isn't apples to apples.

Lacy is okay, just overrated in Wisconsin (where I live). His YPC ranks among rbs year by year: 23rd, 11th, and 28th. Those aren't great rankings. Now obviously there is more that goes into being a rb, but I'm just saying.
