If by making it playable and gave the user a payoff in player development somehow, then it would be worthwhile.

I think if they had done something like that with summer league last year, people would have used it.

As long as the conditions for green releases are stingy enough, I don't have a problem with it. The main thing is not being able to get a green if your rating isn't there, or if you're contested. If you're wide open, your player is 85+ and you aim/release it perfectly, you should be rewarded. We can't reward bad defense with RNG.

Last year, before I did a MyGM or MyLeague, I always did my own signings. I used the Nets so I kept Deron Williams (my favorite player) on the team with the same contract he had with the Nets pre-buyout, so it was like he never left, and other signings prior to the start of my season.

NOW!!!! I can start in the offseason before we start a season? This is a dream come true! I won't have to sign Jeremy Lin. I already had my ideal line up in place:

Rajon Rondo (FA)
Dwyane Wade (FA)
Thaddeus Young (never traded to Indiana)
Thon Maker (draft, hopefully figure out a way since Nets have no picks)
