Is it common for face scans to be put in with first roster update? Specifically looking at Skenes, Crews and other top prospects. They do not have face scans

Not to mention Marcelo Mayer was in last years roster and had a DD “future stars” card that was extremely popular with the DD crowd on Reddit. Weird he is not in day one this year

He’s an international player who hasn’t made his MLB debut yet. I know a few of those guys were on the roster last year because of the WBC, but SDS probably doesn’t have their rights anymore unfortunately. Do be honest, if you don’t play DD there really is NO reason to pay for early access. The roster seems to be worse at release then it was last year, and if I was a Red Sox fan there really is no point in starting up a franchise this weekend as Mayer missing is a HUGE piece of their future. But hey, to each their own. Maybe this is just the “Default” roster and SDS has a live roster planned today with some of the missing players outside of the international/asian guys

Yunior Severino for the Twins is missing. Not a top prospect by any means but I believe he led the minors in homers last year and is now on the Twins 40 man. Definitely in the Twins top 30 prospect lists.

There has only been one year, the covid season, where they added facescans for last years draftees. This is not something they do. And you are talking about scans from the 2023 draft.

Jackson Holiday is the ONLY scan in from even the 2022 draft.
