Playing any Franchise games in old ballparks?

I was curious when playing your franchise games if you use the retro parks i.e. Polo Grounds , Crosley, Etc. I love playing the Mets at Citi, then game 2 at Shea and game 3 at the Polo Grounds. Cincy, Atl. Pittsburgh ,etc.
Really keeps things fresh. Thoughts?

I always try to get a few games against the Braves in at Shea every season with the all white jerseys instead of pinstripes

I play the Giants for one game a season in franchise mode at Polo and I play one game a season in franchise mode against the Dodgers at Shea. I have played road games in franchise at various classic stadiums if a team has an old stadium, but I don't always make it a set in stone thing like I do with Polo and Shea.

I don’t. Breaks immersion for me. But I appreciate the idea in theory.

Just tonight I tried to play the Twins in the Metrodome and it just smacked of “this building doesn’t even exist anymore. Meh.”

Like if I was playing the ‘92 Twins it would be badass, but not when playing the ‘24 Twins, ya know?

It’s def super-cool there are retro stadiums in the game though, and I wish there were more, even given what I just said.

Suddenly have the urge to play the Reds in Riverfront on astroturf.

I don't regular season games (unless the Cardinals are playing in special setting) but I do play Spring Training games in all the retro parks and minor league parks. It helps get thru the grind of Spring Training while playing in all the ballparks.

I played a three game series last year with my Cleveland franchise in the metro dome against Minnesota. Unrealistic sure but it was a cool throwback experience.

I do the same. When I'm Cleveland playing in Minnesota, I'll play at the metrodome and use throwbacks to match.

I like doing the throwback experience at other SDS created parks. The Stadium Creator parks are cool and all (and many have made exceptional stadiums), but I don't like using them during regular season games due to the static bullpens/foul ground.

I always thought it would be fun to play a season as the Giants in the Polo Grounds but I could only stomach that if you could change the season length to 29 games like you used to be able to do.

Pitching a playoff game with those wild dimensions would be fun.
