Cannot access free agents or release players in GM connected.

I had Wayne Simmonds go down with a lengthy injury. I want to pick up a serviceable replacement, however the game forces me over the free agent list, so it's not selectable. I thought maybe my roster is full and I need to release someone, but I cannot find any way to do so.

you can't release players. You can only buy out players in the off-season. try trading away some players to open up a roster spot or two.

It's just the latent menus that are tricking you. Try it again, you can get to the menu, it just registers your controller as being held down because it's so damn slow.

I had the same problem, then realized it was a controller/latency issue.
