How do I clear cap penalties in Online CF?

I'm the GM of an online franchise. Had a guy come on who didn't have a clue on how to manage his cap space, penalties, etc. Basically he has $25 million in cap penalties this year, and $38 million the following year. I've tried clearing cap penalties through the User Teams section, and it will say $0 after I select "yes", but as soon as I back out and go back in or check salaries, the cap penalties remain.

Anyone else having this problem, or what?

I am also having this issue. Wiping the salary cap does not save or do anything.

Is this a glitch? Are we doing something incorrectly?

Lmao sounds like someone went the old route of hmmm idk what a signing bonus is or where it comes from lets give him the max....then cuts or trades the player

No...I am in a 32-man fantasy drafted league that allows cap-penalty free trading for the first season. So a couple of trades were done before realizing the wipe is not working. Thanks for your help though.

Go to settings, user teams, hit A(X) on the user, and you can clear cap penalties. If that doesn't work, go to same screen and look for something that says something about cap penalties maybe a button or a category to the right.

Just an update but this still isnt working correctly, here we are in November, a solid 2 months after release and an option that was put into the game to help commissioners of online leagues isnt even working anyways. Go into League - Settings - User Teams - Click X - Clear Cap Penalties and it clears them. Now go out and go back in, the penalties are back anyways. Now explain to me how something like this goes unnoticed when it was something they touted as a helpful tool for online league commissioners? Furthermore, explain why we had a patch and it wasnt fixed? Unreal imo.

It is what it is but its also extremely disappointing. This whole thing was put in so rogue owners couldnt simply cut everyone, create a ton of cap penalties then leave the league and make that team all but impossible to fill. I swore they even talked about how it was a new tool for commissioners of online CFM's yet it doesnt even work, blows my mind really. Having said that, the skeptical side of me thinks it will amazingly enough work in the PS4/Xbox One editions or it will be added into M15 and touted as a new feature again lol, but maybe thats just the skeptical side of me I suppose.
