he's coming up around his neck and tackling him to the floor..? Why don't these hard fouls get called as flagrants? Maybe this wouldn't be a flagrant 20 years ago, but it definitely would be in today's NBA.

Honestly at this point .

This and that animation where the defender rams shoulder first into the ball handler and you get a turnover should both be flagrant fouls.

Try any of these in a game in real life and watch how quick it turns into Malice at the Palace.
Feels like the WWE 2k devs snuck some animations into NBA 2k.

The officials look for how high up the player was hit and how hard the hit was.

Looking at this video, it's practically the same thing that happened to Klay Thompson in the video I took above but it was called as a Flagrant 2 foul:

Flagrant fouls aren't a thing in 2K.. Players already raise hell for getting called for a flagrant in real life, imagine what they'd do if they found out they got called for one in 2K.
