I'll believe it on October 17. Polyphony has to delay it at least two more times before we get to a legit release date.

I think GT has become confused as to what game it wants to be. It used to be a direct competitor to Forza. We've since had the likes of Driveclub, which was visually stunning but a little arcadey while *Project Cars quenched the appetite of your serious racer but completely alienated the causal gamer.
It's a pretty difficult task for GT to stand out from the crowd & it will likely become nothing more than than the PS equivalent of Forza.

That'll work for me. Now that it has an actual date I'm preordering it.
