Question about DUPLICATING wrestlers

I am not sure if anyone can help with this, but I'll ask anyway.

What I want to do is take an existing in-game wrestler, and have him exist with a different set of attributes/personality, BUT still retain the in game commentary.

In this case:

Taking Andre the Giant as his heel self in the game, and create a copy of him, with his 80's face stats, while retaining the commentary. Is this possible?

I know in the past, Whatsthestatus would post alternate versions of wrestlers WITH the commentary and whatnot, but I haven't seen that with Andre in '24 yet.

Any advice would be great!

(I know I can just download a CC version of him, but again, it would be with no in-ring commentary)

I know I've downloaded alternate attires of wrestlers in 2K23 and it went and created copies of those wrestlers in CAW slots. Give that a try and see if it works in the new game.

Interesting.

So you mean, use the duplicated slot it makes for the different stats and personality? And don't select "set as Alt Attire?"

Keep it as it's own slot?

Do you think doing this will have the commentary carry over though?

In the past, the only thing that change was their "Call Name" during the entrance. Outside of that, their commentary stayed intact. Don't quote me as I haven't tried anything like that this year, yet

Just ttried, didn't work. I think?

I selected NO for USE AS ALT ATTIRE, this way the CAW is now selectable as a playable character. However the commentary was now generic, and not for Andre.

Stinks.

I'm sure there has to be a way.
