i don't understand why ea doesn't just make 2 rosters when they do updates, ones for dynasty that still have the ir'd guys and one for online/current season play that EXACTLY reflect the current 53 man rosters. this can't be that hard? or is it?

i told donny on his twitter page to remove cottam becuase he is on IR and will not play in 2010 if ever again after suffering a neck injury that required surgery last season

cox was removed due to 53 man rosters and time castille was listed as the #1 fullback on the kcchiefs depth chart thats why i think but cox should be back in the next update if he makes the roster which he should

i was suprised how we were man handling the eagles but also i wasn't becuase that is who our coaching staff is

i keep telling people u better pick KC as your sleeper team cause alot of people will be surprised at how improved this team is i will go to say that wont be picking in the top 10 next year i will say more in the 12- 20 range i also have there record between 6-10 and 9-7 and mabye 9-7 and in the playoffs or 9-7 and miss out but the chiefs will surprise people this year

Umm John Skelton and Max Hall are looking better than Derek Anderson and Matt Leinart, even though they both had good games yesterday.

But why skelton is only 65 i think he desiring of a 72 at least.

That's right but I do have most of the CAPS I have done in the free agency pool. The curious thing is, I can release guys and they end up in FA (of course) but when you try to EDIT a guy in FA (say you have an FA QB, you pull him up in under the ALL NFL Roster and try to change him to a Punter, the game will say no there are already too many FA Punters, but if you sign him as a QB, edit him and switch him to a punter while he is on the team and then release him he will end up in FA. I also checked to see if it knocked anyone off the list but it didn't. This will happen once you get into franchise though.) The top and bottom of it is that franchise mode is essentially exactly the same as last year, and it is due for a revamp. I would love to see RFAs and UFAs, practice squads, training camp and the whole bit but I doubt it will happen

You could delete the online rosters from the HDD. Fire up your game with default rosters, save them. Then download the updated rosters and save them separately. Viola! You have both rosters!

They are looking good because they are playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers. While both look good (Hall has looked better than Skelton lately, and even Skelton was looking decent in their first or 2nd game IIRC) they are not going to be in serious competition with the veteran QBs because both lack any experience in the pros. That 65 OVR rating should be sufficient.

KANE, if you're reading this I have a list of things to correct (ratings are IMO obviously) on the Carolina Panthers.

QB Matt Moore - Needs mustache/beard and eye paint, left QB black wrist and mid arm band on right arm

HB Mike Goodson needs to have a 90+ KR rating if he doesn't already. A bump in acceleration and BCV as well. He almost never goes down on the first hit and figures to get more carries this season too. Needs a towel.

FB Tony Fiammetta - needs to be a shade darker

WR Brandon LaFell - Needs half sleeves removed, he has black taped wrists and white/black gloves. Clear visor. Wears a towel. Maybe up his Spec Cth a pt or two

WR Armanti Edwards - Needs dreads added and all black gloves and wrist tape added

WR Kenneth Moore needs a back plate and a towel.

DE Greg Hardy needs a pretty substantial ratings boost. He is rated a 59, needs to be upped in pass rush and awareness for sure. Also his spin moves on the Dline are nasty. Uses his hands and has really good footwork. Maybe 65-67 OVR. Also needs at LEAST a B potential.

DE Charles Johnson needs a boost of a couple points. He's the best pass rusher and most complete DE on the Panthers.

FS Charles Godfrey needs dreads

I take some issue with removing DB Marcus Hudson. He was signed from the 49ers in the offseason. He is competing for the dime CB, backup FS, and backup SS. He is also a major contributor on ST. I guess we'll see if he makes the opening day roster.

Where can I tell Donny that Keenan Lewis needs an awareness boost? He's higher on the depth chart than Burnett and having a good camp this year. Morgan Burnett should have higher awareness as well for GB

KANE, the Panthers are 95% certainly gonna carry K Todd Carter (#5) as the KO Specialist just like K Rhys Lloyd was last year.

Carter should have very good kick power, similar to Rhys Lloyd.

KANE, by the way, another guy to keep an eye on is WR/KR/PR Trent Guy. He has a really good shot at making the team as the primary KR/PR as WR Armanti Edwards has had trouble catching punts. Right now WR Wallace Wright is on the EA roster and Guy has a better shot at making the roster than Wright and probably a better shot at sticking than WR David Gettis, another guy on the EA roster.

I agree. Removing guys just messes up dynasty. At least big name guys like Sidney Rice. If it's a 3rd string MLB, not as big of a deal.

Yeah it doesn't make a lotta since. I understand the 53 man issue (which shouldn't be an issue), but why not put guys like the Dallas TE Phillips and other important IR guys in FA? There is a lot of dead weight in FA right now. Guys that will probably not play again or ever.

I agree and the FA slots are bigger than most people think. What I don't like is just throwing the IR guys in the FA pool. I mean lets look at say Jaymar Johnson (I know he certainly isn't the greatest WR at 59OVR) he broke his thumb and is on IR for the year. But he is in the FA pool with no injury. So if the CPU wants to sign him tomorrow to play, it can. This tramples any realism in franchise mode. My solution in my roster is to set these guys as Punters without changing their stats, basically simulating IR Status so the CPU won't touch them. All you have to do is the next year before the Superbowl go in and edit their positions back to WR or whatever they were and they will be in the FA Pool, or even resign them to the team that they should be on and then set them back to the position that they play. I know its kind of clunky and complicated, but we can't change injury status on the roster so there it is.
