in the span of 5 minutes...
my new computer case arrived (early) for the system I'm building, and I learned that the Avs have signed Kariya AND Selanne. nothing will spoil my good mood today.

Damn, some nice moves that I don't think anybody saw coming for the Avs. Now, as long as Dom comes back to the Wings and we sign Hatcher, maybe the Western Conference Finals can get back to the way they are supposed to be, Avs/Wings

and, it gets better...
Verizon FINALLY found (and fixed) the source of the static on our phone line - we've had off and on static on the phone ranging from mild irritant to "can't even hear you" for about 2 months, and today it's finally fixed. no more hasty phone calls, no more dropped internet connections. today, indeed, is a good day.
