Why do we attract such, uh, *interesting* individuals at FOFC?

Just to double-check, I looked into the IP. Not only was the IP a 100% match for our ol' buddy, but the birthday was the same as well. Not a very smart troll, apparently.

He posted one post a few minutes ago, of the kind of crap he was doing last summer, so I just deleted it immediately and put this account in the perma-box. (Yes, when I catch a troll very early on, I just delete his stuff. If it is there for more than 2-3 minutes, I lock the thread.) So, then I start getting IM's, at first claiming not to have any idea who Mr. Buttercup is. Pretty bold of him, considering I'm looking at an exact IP match, a very similar name, and the exact D.O.B. in the profile. Finally I get sick of him and just start warning, figuring he'll go away. This is what followed:

There's no blacklist anywhere (at least that I know of), but if you do a search for "buttercup," I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.

Buttercup was a short-lived, and pathetic troll who popped up around the time of the Wignifty/nasty/whatever incidents, and Act III of the HornsManiac Odyssey, a Tragicomedy in four acts. Frankly, he was a C-Grade troll at best. I've crapped better stuff than he's done as a troll. This latest incident certainly didn't bump up his letter grade.

Jeez, if you're going to troll a board, at least be clever enough to switch ISPs.
