I learned a new word tonight

I truly thought I had heard of everything, but tonight the word "merkin" comes up in conversation. it has nothing to do with old Guido Merkins.

it's a pubic hair wig.

Anything to do with Giants top pitching prospect Merkin Valdez? There, that's twice it's come up tonight.

Hey, when I want to be a red-head I don't need to get any dyes involved.

Is that just slang though? Webster seems to think it is a mop for cleaning cannon.

I use a merkin to clean my cannon.

Assuming merkin means what Marmel said.

Dictionary.com lists both definitions, the wig one and the cannon one.

I'm very surprised this has been mentioned yet.

This word was used in an episode of Family Guy. The episode where his disabled neighbor wins the special people olympics. A sports agent asks him if he knows what a merkin is. The disabled neighbor said no, and the agent tells him.
