How Does This Work
Flash Mind Reader
It's "guessed" right 10 out of 10 times for me. Someone please explain it to the simpleminded.

It all has to do with 9. If you look, the symbol is always the same for 9, 18, 27, 36, etc. Each time you play the game, it simply uses a different set of symbols, but their pattern is always the same.

The end result of the math they have you do is always a multiple of 9. All the multiples of 9 have the same symbol and change each time.

So any 2 digit number added together and then the sum subtracted from the original number ends up with a number that is divisable by 9? How can that be?

AB equals 10*A + B. Subtract the sum of the digits from AB --> 10*A + B - (A+B) = 9*A 9*A is of course always divisible by 9. |
