I totally read that question wrong. Got the stupid answer, but still read it wrong. Would have said 2 based on real life.

This one pushed the limits of roundness.
On Q1, common sense (35), though somewhat round, beat a rounder guess (30) 9 to 5. Some might argue that roundness ($20) beat reality ($25) 10-4 on Q3, but I think $20 might be the true sweet spot there. No argument with 30 as a good answer (roundness notwithstanding) to Q4. 10 (round) clobbered 8 (two families of 4?), and 5 (round, but ???) matched the combined total of the reasonable guesses of 3 and 2. By my tally, over-roundness notched a clear victory on Q6 and probably won the day on Q5. I'll call Q3 a push, and say Q4 was the best answer in both respects. Common sense's lone victory is 35 over 30 in Q1, but even then, it rounds to a 5, when 34 might be a more realistic max. All that to say, "I agree with Lathum." |
