Run of the mill star, wouldn't even look twice at it if you saw it with some of the hotter stars. Anyone who thinks it is hot has only grown to feel that way, after seeing it day in and day out for what must seem like their entire life. Eventually you start to think it is hotter than it really is.
(trust me, after the past few months it ain't so hot...) |

I like my stars how I like my women - black dwarfs.

My thoughts exactly. I have lots of yellow stars as friends. I am not against seriously dating a yellow star. But I just need to find the right star that empowers me. The Sun might work for a guy from Krypton, but I am just looking for something different |

I've got a report on the sun and man it's hot!"

I hear this sun is not loyal to one partner - warms whatever planets are around with its rays.

Some day, she'll probably grow so big that our planet will be totally engulfed in her.

I had always thought the old adage "Good from afar but far from good" applied. I originally voted Not but noticed that's an old pic from 2010 or so. I think the Sun is definitely getting hotter every year. And while being a bit bigger, the Sun has almost perfect curves. I also don't want to get into personality too much, but I really like the energy the Sun gives off.
For those voting Not, I can understand where you're coming from. You probably see the Sun every day, usually for extended periods. I'm wondering though if you have really tried to check out the eyes of the Sun. That's where the fun is. Last edited by Carman Bulldog : 04-02-2015 at 09:22 AM. |

Not sure about this - don't you find the Sun's eyes to be a burning, painful glare? I mean it's hard to even look directly at it more than a few seconds - that could be hard in any relationship. |

Bullshit. All of you saying you wouldn't tan with this sun are total liars. Don't act like you could walk up to any sun you wanted and get a nice almond tone. Every one of you would lay down in Sol's warm embrace.

Let's see. Volatile temperatures. Prone to flare-ups. Dangerous to be around too long, but you can't live without it. Sounds like the perfect crazy-hot girlfriend. I vote hot.

But you know the sun's going to implode one day and kill everyone. A little too much crazy on that crazy to hot scale.

No. I guess if the Sun were the only star you ever saw I could see you voting Hot, but compared to other stars out there the Sun is really a Not.
How hot can a star be? Quote:

Just like all the other HoN threads... of course the sun's hot, but some people are going to say otherwise just because there may be other, hotter stars out there.

That pic is from 2010. I doubt it's aged well over the last four years.
