He could be a star at forward, wing, and maybe even mid...i dont have any players pulling over 2.5 stars...i run a 3-5-2 with my two forwrds both pulling 2.5s...2 of my three mids pulling 2.5s and one 2...my wings pull a 2.5 and a 2, but the two is an excellent winger with no secondaries...my defense is my best part, but i wonder if it would be better to sell him and buy a player or two...change my formation to a 3-4-3(altough i have my 2 biggest maches the next two weeks ad cant afford the exp drop...), or play him...not sure where he would be best...
If i sell, how much should i start him for, and if i play, where and in what formation?

Well that's a nice conundrum. If he was 17 that could be the pull of the year. Since he's 19 you won't get as much, but someone buying him will likely focus on the scoring/passing combo. I'd play him a match at forward and see what kind of rating he gets before setting a price.

I'd say you can fairly easily get 750k for him as a striker. I sold a 19 excellent scoring inad passing/defending/SP for 600k.
I'd disregard his winger, why waste his best stats on the least important position (atleast till new tactics kick in).
as for your 2 star excellent winger, in bad form or something? I've got a solid winger w/ no secondaries that get's 2.5* in passable form ( I think inad aswell ) play him offensive if you're not.

I hate you!
Exc scoring, pass passing player alone will go for 500-600+, and that is for someone who is to old to train. If you put him on the market with a minimum of 800K, you would probably get it, and if not you have a forward that will last you for at least 3-4 seasons.
If you are going to keep him play him at forward, otherwise you should sell him and buy a winger with the same skills for 200K or less.

I'd start him around 650-700 easily

I think you'd be better off keeping him because he's got at least one useless skill.
If you play him at winger his scoring is meaningless and vice versa if you play him at forward. The inad PM also doesn't help and neither would training it to passable because you'd now have two useless skills. So I doubt PM trainers would be interested, thus leaving you with scoring or winger trainers. I think you could get a few hundred K, but his being 19 would hurt his sale value since a 17 yo solid would surpass him talent wise by the end of next season.
So I agree with Desnudo, play him at forward and keep him if he makes a significant difference to your ratings.

I would start the bidding around $650 and sell him, you could use the extra money and buy a forward with similar skills for cheaper and have less on his wages since they are so high with all the extra skills.
but damn that is a great pull!

Play him offensively.
I have a passable winger, one with only weak, poor, and weak secondaries and he puts up 2.5 *'s in passable form. Maybe his technical specialty hurt. What was the weather?

Nathaniel Conklin (B Team WB might sell, my best YP kinda attached :-)

Winger: solid Defending: inadequate

Peter Taylor (starting winger)
96 000 US$, 18 years, inadequate form
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities
Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: passable
Winger: solid Defending: weak
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: disastrous
Anthony Torres (B Team winger)
86 000 US$, 20 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities
Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: wretched
Winger: solid Defending: poor
Scoring: weak Set Pieces: poor
all 3 when played offensively put up 2.5* in inad-passable form as a winger. Conklin is 2* defensive WB, haven't tried normal or offensive yet. experimenting with 2 IM, 2 Winger 3-4-3 in friendly this week.
if a winger doesn't have secondaries, play him offensive since it boost his winger skill.

and if those fail, I've got my IM/Winger for 'must get higher MF' games:
Kurtmartin Heinrichs
65 000 US$, 26 years, solid form
Has weak experience and disastrous leadership abilities [Head]
Stamina: excellent Keeper: wretched
Playmaking: passable Passing: weak
Winger: passable Defending: poor
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: wretched
he puts up 3* as an offensive winger, 2.5* as IM (3 in exc form)
haven't tried TM winger yet since I only play with 1 winger and haven't had a 'go all out and sacrifice attack for midfield' kind of match yet...

I would say any defense position is the least important (excluding keeper). But that's just me... :)

Yeah, normally i'd say you're an idiot, but I gave up 5 goals last game with an all outstanding back line, and the other teams Offense had nothing higher than exc.
edit that, I lost to a team w/ solid/pass/pass attack... bullshit.

I know how you feel. My all-solid defense lost to a Inad/weak/Inad attack 1-3.

Yeah, and nevermind that my pass/inad/pass attack couldn't score on his exc/sol/exc defense.
Lets see, When you compare my defense to his offense, I was +11 NSI. When you compare his D to my O, he was +6. Shouldn't I have scored easier against his D than he did against mine? And his midfield only beat me by 2 levels, so he was only +1 NSI.
