I bought him for $74k.

His last few matches he has been putting up 3 stars... looks like he was replaced by a trainee and that's why he was sold.

Also, consider that my midfield includes one 3-star guy, another 2-star player, and a 1-star player.

Thanks!

Take my opinion for what it's worth (nothing basically), but whenever you can get a 3 star player for less than $100K, I think it's a good deal. His ratings aren't that great, but if he's putting up 3 stars...he's probably a very high passable PM and very high inadequate passing.

Bee, I'd say the *** rating has more to do with his 'Weak' experience than anything else. But I do agree, good buy, especially because you have probably a season or two before he starts declining.

I would say very good buy becuase of what Vince and Bee said- but also because he has Inadequate winger, if for some reason you really needed a midfield boost for one game you could pick up another 2.5 star middie and then play this guy as a winger towards middle, he has the ability to play 2 positions which for me is a big +

I'd say it would be a nice buy. Woulda been better if he was younger and trainable, but you gotta take what you can get, right?

Yea' - I train forwards anyways, so age isn't a concern except for when he starts to decline.

Also - going from 3 stars, 2 stars, and 1 star in the midfield to 3 stars, 3 stars, and 2+ stars - what kind of midfield boost should I look for?

I was putting up Poor with mediocre TS, and weak with Good TS. Weak is the highest it's ever gotten to...

Thanks!

I'd say you shold be able to achieve inadequate on a regular basis. I have two 3* and a 2.5* and the lowest I usually get, while playing normal (no PIC involved) is inadequate. Gotta say though that my 3* may be in part because the players have good secondaries and I play them accordingly (one is inadequate passing, played offensive, the other inadequate defending, played defensive). When all the stars align just right and I put another middie at winger toward middle, I can get solid...

Has regularly been putting up 2.5-3 stars as an offensive winger or inner mid. If I play this guy in the mid, I'll have the following midfield...

2.5 (defensive wing)... 2.5 (inner) ... 3 (inner) ... 3 (inner...) 2.5 (offensive wing)

What kind of midfield ratings would that get me?

How about if I went...

2.5 (towards middle) ... 3 (inner) ... 3 (inner) ... 2.5 (offensive wing)

Thanks!
