Should I Sell Him?

The question is should I sell this guy now, or should I wait until his form gets back up to something respectable? Although I'd like to sell him to grab a new keeper, I fear that I will be pissing away money by selling him in such crappy form. My other option is to play him out of position until his form rises and I can sell him.

Any advice?

I'd hold. He's at the skill level that should be bringing in big bucks, there's no good reason to waste possible money by selling him in a form dump.

What about the possibility of training him through 21? That ought to take him through to Magnificent? Or are you looking to go ahead and upgrade your goalkeeping now?

First off, thanks for all the input. I'll take lytics recommendation as something that I shouldn't do. :)

Since Helder has been in crap form, he has been my #4 striker, which means that I have 3 that are as good or better . . . and younger.

I am currently in 2nd place, 1 point out of an autopromote slot. I have a tougher schedule than the team in 1st place. I still have games against lytic and Hobbes- to worry about. However, I have clinched 2nd place.

I don't want to train him for another year, but it is possible. I'm not sure if I could get him to Magnificent by the end of next season.

Things that the Gargs need to do:

1. New keeper - Solid just doesn't cut it anymore. :)
2. Super Trainee - I want to get somebody good at the start of next season.
3. New Wing Back or CD - I have one good defender out of 3. Need to shore up the D.

I was hoping that prices would drop for keepers around now, so I could get a good one cheap. However, it is more likely that I'll be able to find my brilliant US keeper early next season.

I'm always looking for D's and Middies. :) However, I'm relatively particular about what I get, so it may be better if I just sell and buy my own.

What I'm looking for:

Wing Back: Outstanding Defense, Passable+ Winger, Inadequate+ PM, Weak+ Passing.
IM: Outstanding PM, Passable+ Defense, Passable+ Passing.
Keeper: Outstanding+

If anybody has anything like that (25 years old or younger), I'd love to work out a trade.

Otherwise, I have decided to hold Helder until the beginning of next season. I plan to put in at least 1 if not 2 weeks of SP training in the offseason this year. I figure that Helder could benefit from some of that.
