Was reading the local paper and just found out that Tacoma is getting a team for the IBL (http://iblhoopsonline.com). Anyone else hear about the IBL?
With annual player salaries measured in the low four figures, teams scoring upward of 150 points per game, deejays spinning records during play and a maximum ticket price of $8, promoters promise it will be unlike the pro ball most fans are used to. No kidding. :)
The rules... Immediate inbound rule (refs inbound ball immediately after a whistle), 48 minute game, 22 second shot clock, 5 fouls per player, 8 second backcourt rule and 2 timeouts per half.
Sounds like it will be a flop but I'm gonna check it out once it starts up in April.
