The names in Blue are members of the current Supergroup, Front Office Freedom Corps. The names in Red are on the Victory Server but not members of the SG. If you would like to join the SG, please put the Blue names on your Friends list and send them an in-game tell to join.

Yeah it seems i have too many problems with my pc. I enjoy trying to do a task force but fight starts i spend about 80% of the fight in lag. Littlewatt would routinely die before i even knew i was in a fight. I do enjoy the game though so i will be back when i get a new pc.

Over the weekend I pushed Excidian up to 22. I think my family still exists. I'll let you know later tonight.

New SG is fine with me. I think just having Streak and me as GMs would work fine. We are on a lot and we are lifers. You can still invite to SG without being GM.

Besides the fact that it is easy to see who is online and what they are doing, what exactly is the purpose of a supergroup anyway?

Observation from a newbie:

I have been spending a lot of time in the Hollows. It was fun, but some of the teams I have been on were pretty bad, while others were great.

I finally ventured out of the Hollows because my next mish there is the FF one, which I have done 4 times now (with teams before I had the mission).

I am finding other areas of the game to be even more entertaining than the Hollows, although a little harder to find a team. Part of that may be that I have super speed now and love blazing through the streets. :)

Level 15 for Gemini tonight, I hope.

SG is nice because you dont have to add everyone from FOFC onto your friends list...

If you're going to spend time in the hollows, a great travel power is teleport. I have combined that with my secondary power of Forcefield to great effect. I can make it to any mission in the Hollows with no problem since my FF protects me. Then I use friend recall to get the rest of the team there. They really love me for that. It's also good for getting dead bodies away from a hostile area so they can be resurrected without having to go to the hospital.

Darn it, this game is ridiculously addictive and I am already level 19 with Mystikhan. And this is with 2 weeks of play. Dodgerchick's character, Hellspirit, is already level 18.

All three of my characters have improved. Super Shamrock is lvl 18, Irish Brute is lvl 11 (after teaming up with King Smooth to beat Frostfire) and Irish Empress is lvl 6.

Actually that was the 2nd time we beat Frostfire. I'm starting to get used to playing a Tank. When I started the character, I just wanted to go around smashing things. But now I realize that the most important job for a tank is to take damage. My last two upgrades have been armor and I can take quite a punishing now.

I ran into an arch-villain, Nemesis Rex, while soloing a PI portal mission. I used up all of my inspirations early in the fight but settled into a good attack/defense rotation that allowed me to slowly whittle him down and finally stomp on his corpse. The fight took probably 8-9 minutes. Some AVs seem much tougher than others...the Countess Crey seems unsoloable, at least by a DM/Invul scrapper.

Earlier, White Napalm and I teamed with a couple other heroes on a Rikti portal mission. It was pretty fun jumping into the middle of 5-7 +4 aliens and kicking serious butt.

You can delete Pyronancy and add Holisticka to the list. She is a tick away from 11. I never thought an empathy defender could be fun. I'm having a blast with her.

Okay, to coordinate a little bit, the TF is much easier when we're all close in levels. This is mainly because the mobs will spawn at somewhere +2 from the highest level person. I would either bring White Napalm or Sweet Bubbles to exemplar down to an appropriate level. Level 17-19 looks like a pretty decent range. And we could probably do this by either sidekicking or exemplaring. Understand that if someone exemplars, and if the person who exemplared them quits or disconnects, that person is booted from the task force.

Maybe for us East Coasters, we need to start earlier. Here's a snippet from the CoH Guide:

Basics
*Started in Skyway at Synapse
*Team must have 4-8 heroes
*Levels at formation of TF 15-21(actual level without side kicking)
*TF members can side kick other members 3 or more levels below them.
*No one can be added after a Task Force is formed/started. *Heroes Disconnected or who camp out without quitting the TF will automatically rejoin the TF unless all members have quit the TF or it has been completed.
*You cannot talk to contacts other then Synapse during the TF, though you may still use stores.
*TF leader will have to contact Synapse to start/flag the next mission when one is completed(later you will be able to call him as the TF progresses)
*Everyone must be in the zone(Skyway) to begin/start the Task Force
*Synapse's TF takes 2 1/2 - 5 hours to complete
*All members that complete the TF recieve a Single Origin(SO) enchancement at the end-if they have room

The Task Force
Once the team is formed the leader needs to speak to Synapse. Synapse is located near the trainer in Skyway, just east of the Yellow Line Station. The leader accepts formation of the TF and gets the first mission. You should have the leader remain at Synapse & and 2 of your fastest members stationed at the train station at the start of the TF, becasue once formed your first task is to Patrol Steel Canyon (they need to visit 5 locations there). While your runners are patroling, have the remaining members scout for Clockworks in Skyway,but do not engage them. After the patrol is done the leader gets the 2nd task which is to arrest/defeat 30 Clockworks (grey cons count) now you have your team members engage the Clockworks they scouted, while the leader waits at Synapse. After the 30 Clockworks are defeated, the leader triggers the 3rd task. Someone must speak to Positron in Steel Canyon.

Positron is located in front of the big statue in Blyde Square. The leader may have need to speak to Synapse after that to flag/start the next 3 tasks which are door missions(Usually in Steel Canyon). After those missions the leader will need to return to Synapse, while the rest of the team waits in Steel Canyon, as the next task given is to Patrol 2 locations in Steel Canyon. The leader remains at Synapse while team members get the 2 locations/phones. After the patrol is done the leader speaks to Synapse to flag next task. It should be another door mission. When you exit the leader should be able to call Synapse. Patroling/visiting 5 locations in Steel Canyon is the next task. When that is done the leader calls in and you will be sent to Boomtown to defeat Big Bertha. Upon finishing that you will be sent to 4 door/warehouse missions First is defeat Long Tom. Now you are the home stretch. Three final missions. First is door, rescuing workers. Second is to defeat Clockwork Lord. Plan to be ambushed upon exiting by Babbage.

He isn't that hard. Next someone will usually need to run to Positron to pick up a device for use in the final battle.
And behind door number three.... is the Clockwork King and his court.You will need to make sure that everyone has clear inventory because everyone that completes the TF recieves a Single Origal enchancement. The King will also drop one that gets randomed to the group. That means everyone will get 1 but some lucky hero gets two.

Yesterday I hit 50 with my main man Professor Ion. He can still exemp down to join in on the task forces and respec trials he skipped on his mad dash to 50, and also can take lower characters in the supergroup out badge hunting. For me, scrapper is the most fun and so I expect that my new spines/invul scrapper Gumbercules will get most of my play time in the near future.

The summer has actually managed to pull me away from my PC and when I am on it is usually an alt on another server. I want to try and save up all my level 20 characters on Victory for the new zone coming in issue 5.

I am working on Gumbercules now, but with a lot less vigor. I think he is 12 now. My plan for him is to get around level 24 and do the respec, then try and find another archetype that looks like fun to play. Maybe a 3rd scrapper or a non-fire tanker of some kind.

I was thinking that it might be fun (if there is interest) if we scheduled a play session to try and get some badges for the lower level characters. Maybe go after the Atlas Madallion?

I'm considering firing up COH again, it seems like a lot of things have been added in the last year, so hopefully I won't be overwhelmed. Not sure if I have any characters on Victory though, or if there are they're still low level.

I don't think you'd be overwhelmed by the changes. Many of them are minor or have no huge impact on gameplay. I'd be up for a Task Force as well.

I am currently playing a Martial Arts/Super Reflexes scrapper, Eternal Focus. He is level 17 now. The early levels were pretty tough but he is becoming more fun to play as I approach level 20 (and Stamina).

Gumbercules, my Spines/Invulnerable scrapper, is at 24. I would like to keep him around that level so I can play him in the new zone when it goes live.

Anyone interested in doing the Terra Volta respec trial this weekend? Perhaps we could get a few of us together on saturday night(?) and recruit a few extra heroes to get a full group.

The last fight was a bit rough, and there were 5 or 6 deaths, but we were successful in beating the respec mission. Good fun! We are scheduled to do it again with alts next saturday at the same time, 6 pm pacific. So if anyone else wishes to join the party...get to level 24!

The Task Force went very well, even with my constant lagging behind and generally whacked-out behavior...we made it through with ( I believe) zero deaths.

I was researching today on where to find vampires in Striga so I could get my Atlas Medallion. After looking around a bit I discovered that the Moonfire Task Force has bunches of both vampires and werewolves. Any interest in trying that one this saturday? I think the level range is something like 23-28 and takes 2.5-4 hours.

The Atlas Medallion is the easiest accolade to get that has a bonus: plus 5% endurance. Besides needing to kill the wolves and vamps, the only requirements are the Top Dog badge (exploration, easy), the Pupil badge (exploration, easy zones) and the Spelunker badge, from the Save the Fortue Teller mission, level 14-15 or so.

I don't know the level requirements for certain in the Moonfire TF, but I read somewhere it was 23-28. We have at least 3 level 26 characters that could exemp or sk as needed. I think as long as everyone is at least 23 we should be fine.

Bastion might be a good one, but Marm and his wife would have to get to level 25 by Sat. We could always exemp down for Sister Psyche as well. Marm and his wife could try to get to level 24 and we could run the respec again...that's a quickie.

They will be credited...so don't use the respec right away. There will probably be a number of fixes in the following weeks.

Checked out the forums, and seems there is also speculation that because these are being rewarded tomorrow you may be able to roll toons *tonight* and still get it for them. Now that would be sweet. :)

As far as task forces are concerned, http://cityofheroes.gameamp.com/coh/viewTaskForces has a summary of them all. It mentions the Hess TF in Striga is probably the most fun, but has some requirement about completing all the Striga missions in order to qualify. (shrug)

He had a heart attack and angioplasty several years ago but has had no recent heart troubles until yesterday. They caught it during a routine checkup. I think he will be fine but we are all very concerned.
