Im sure this has been asked before, but I am to lazy to look for it. Where do you want your better ILB in the 3-4? or does it make a diffrence? Just based on player ratings and not scheme ability. 1 ILB is a 60's and the other is low 50's.

The SILB plays in a lot more packages. And I believe he should be a much more well rounded player. I think the main trait of a WILB should be run defense, at least that's how I play it anyways.
The WILB is the first one to come out. In the Nickle, he is replaced with a DB.
I tend to put my best LB at either SILB or WLB in 3-4.

Hmm....probably just conjecture here (or perhaps even football knowledge > FOF knowledge), but I usually put my best LB (or at least my best coverage LB) at SLB b/c that's who normally covers the tight end.
Also, I usually like a high rush/pass tech guy at the SILB/WILB position because he "plugs the hole" so to speak. Pass rusher only at WLB (although I doubt high run tech hurts)
At least in previous versions, I think the WLB in a 3-4 basically acted/put up stats as an RDE would in the 4-3 (and RDE = RDT stats).
YMMV, though.
