I understand X-factor has a lot to do with this and how the computer sees these players however this seems a bit extreme. He would actually accept this and cost himself a lot of money.

eh, he still keeps his 11m this season, and if the salarys are that out whack he'd never see the future money anyway

looks like other versions of fof to me.

Yeah, maybe it isnt so bad. Just looks strange. He is asking for around 45 million over 5 years in which 19 million is a sure thing.

If the contract stayed as is he would get around 75m with only 7.2 guaranteed. But if he played season 1 out which you would assume the team would keep him. There would be no advantage in him accepting the new deal as he would have already made/be promised what he is assured of with the new contract demand.

Not really saying it is right or wrong just looking for thoughts on this.

Yeah, I think the structure of some real contracts in the default rosters creates some seemingly quirky AI behavior. It probably doesn't impact too much in the end.
