I'll be able to share soon enough. It is a big deal, at least to me. It has nothing to do with my ability to get it up, get married, or anything of that nature (although in a few months the wife and I are going to try for another child... or at least that's what she tells me when I beg for sex now. "Just wait until June...").

In answer to the questions about will I be able to go to the zoo, Red Sox games, etc... the answer (sadly) is no.

I am moving to the Washington D.C. area. I can't say what my new job will be yet, but it's a considerable move upward.

I'm very excited, although it's going to suck being without my family for two and a half months (they're staying here until the kids get out of school).

Actually, we're probably going to steer clear of the rich white suburban subdivisions and try to find someplace a little more rural where we can have a few acres and horses and such. We're thinking south-southwest of Manassas, but nothing's really set yet. I need a job offer I can live with first before I really start shopping for real estate.

Cam is going to replace Tony Kornheiser.

Once they realize Cam is a midwesterner, however, Cam will find himself holding signs for a Used CD store while standing along 355, until he gets fired from that job (for not holding the giant CD right side up) and then the beloved Cam will be standing at a Beltway exit holding bunches of flowers, running up to car windows and hoping some guy forgot his anniversary and is desperate.

y'all crack me up.

Franklinnoble,

As my wife and I were looking at the real estate, it seemed that Fredericksburg seemed to be much more affordable and rural than Fairfax County. Of course it's also a 60-90 minute commute.

I don't necessarily mind the white bread suburbs as long as there's a city close by. Having lived in Oklahoma City, which is basically a bunch of suburbs surrounded by rural areas, I think I'm ready to be closer to an urban environment.

Your guess is as good as mine... until I have a solid job offer I like, I'm not even seriously talking to real estate agents. I have family down in Lynchburg that is familiar with the area, but that's about it. I grew up in suburban Maryland, but I left 13 years ago.

The commute times don't bother me... I do nearly 2 hours each way now.
