Some fairly interesting responses:

1. In 2000-2001, how many pounds of oranges per capita were consumed in the USA?

For this question, I think some people misunderstood the term per capita which means per person.

The correct answer: 86.4 - according to the USDA 12.3 pounds of oranges per person were consumed as whole oranges and 74.3 pounds of oranges per capita were consumed as orange juice.

797 is only an average of 72 per year over 11 seasons, figure they had 2 world series titles which would raise the number a bit so that's about right.

You're guess of 555 has them having an AVERAGE record of 50-112 for the past 11 years.

Hope that helps bring the numbers back into focus.
