My wife and I sometimes use the DirectTV music channels for background music, and quite often the "80s" is the choice. Yesterday I heard a song which sounded vaguely familiar for its syrupy, overly-sweet sound, and if I heard the lyrics correctly I thought it might rank as one of the epic sappy songs.
