Royal Lytham and Saint Anne's plays to a short 6850 yards and is a par 71.
36-35=71
Plenty of sand, 11 of you took lessons.
Like last week at St. Andrews, you will see 63-64's and you'll see some almost break 80.
Mar Mel and Deacon Palmer are the odds on favorites this week. Mar bounced back from 3rd round front 9 wobble to win, while Palmer shot 63-65 to close out the week.
Bettors are looking at what the Brits are calling the field golfers. Angus MacHaggis, N Waeltz, Todd Henry, and Al Mighty all have similar skills and graduated from the "Copy and Paste" Golf Academy. CnPGA Graduate Todd Henry had the best chance to win. If one plays well this weekend, then so should the others.

So, you've seen where they stand and a laundry list of front 9 accomplishments.
Here on the back, Driver dropped a shot on 10, Ton pulled back within one with his birdie.
AJ Tucker joined the gaggle in the lead at -3 with his birdie at 11. David Gonzalez pars 10, his second of the day, then birdies 11. A 71 would give Gonzalez wet dreams with all the birds and bogies so far.
Brian Fowler jumped into the lead with birdies on 11 and 12, Watts birdied 11 and bogied 12, Jones birdied 10, missed a par putt on 11.
Dylan Airhart birdied 10, and 11 to tie for the lead, but bogey on 12 dropped him back to -2. Todd Henry birdied 10 and 11 to be the first golfer to reach -4, but dropped shots at 12 and 13 have him back at -2. Jeebs Eckberg bogied 10, but caught lightning in a bottle on twelve as he holed his 223 yard approach shot for another DOUBLE EAGLE, two on the round today(Whit had the other), he then bogied 12. Al Mighty birdied 11.
Karl Schexnayder has made an incredible debut, birdie on 11 has him tied for the lead. Erick Dachel on the other edge of the ledger, bogey on 12 makes him +6. Mike Tokunaga birdied 11 and 13 to lead at -4, but double at 14 knocks him one back at -2. Jesse Ewiak bogied 11 and doubled 14.

PROJECTED CUT--E--
Players are now showing some seperaion now as the morning round draws closer to conclusion. Luckily the winds have died down to a dull roar and the sun has come out, clearing up the remnants of the fog that blew out all yesterday's play.
First group off today is where your leaders are. Rookie Karl Schexnayder 15 to briefly hold the lead to himself, but Mike Tokunaga the Canadian Samoan registered birdies on 16 and 17 to pull into a tie for the lead. Jesse Ewiak bogied 15, but birdied 16 and 17, ending on a roll. They stand on 18 tee with a chance to be last off this afternoon. The FGT has decided to reseed foursomes for this afternoon's round giving a better show for viewers.
The groupngs today were supposed to have the hottest golfers off last and have the advantage of knowing what was posted ahead of them. Apparently Mar Mell missed that memo, his bogey at 11 drops him to a +5. Kevin Heath, did get it, on the other hand. Birdie at 11 followed by bogey at 12 has him one back at -3. Ty Witt birdied 10 he's 3 back.
Brian Fowler is the other golfer at -3. He rebounded nicely from a bogey on 14 with a birdie at 15. Sarah Juckett also rebounded from bogey at 14, +3 is respectable today. Tim Watts has played his way in contention, bidies at 13 and 15 have vaulted him 2 back. Matt Jones dropped a shot at 14.
The all-UK foursome of Yellope, MacHaggis, Driver, and Ton have not, so far, generated tons of excitement. Yellope birdied 11, but went ob on 12 leading to a triple. Angus doubled 11 and 13. Drvier birdied 11, while Ton bogied 12 before birdie on 13.
David Gonzalez still has only two pars on his card. bogey on 12, birdie on 13, bogey on 14. AJ Tucker bogied 14 to drop to 2 back. Shane Kormelink may need to switch drivers and try putting the ball in play, bogey at 12 and double at 13 have dropped him well off the pace. N Waeltz birdied 12 to join the frenzy at -3, but a double at 13 and bogey at 14 have put him level.
Todd Henry bogied 14, Jeeebs Eckberg bogied 16, while Al Mighty bogied 15, then birdied 16.

PROJECTED CUT--E--
Well the board certainly has a European feel to it, doesn't it. Karl Schexnayder birdied the last to post 66, but K.A. Ton has started to surge as well. Birdies at 14, 15, and 16 have tied him for the lead. In that group, Dave Yellope birdied 16, Woody Driver birdied 15. MacHaggis has had the wheels fall off, bogies at 14 and 15.
Signs of life from Mar Mel, a birdie at 15 pututs him at +4. Palmer's birdie came at 15 too. Kevin Heath doubled 14 and bogied 15. Whitt bogied 14 and 15.
Briefly, David Gonzalez did make two pars, sandwiched around a double at 16. AJ Tucker has bogied 16, birdie at 17.
Round finish is next.

No, Marm, ur guy is actually pretty good. You just were able to bounce back from trouble last week. All the golfers are actually pretty similar, and all the courses play different.
There were a ton of skill checks today, rolls of 7, 9, and 11 draw skill checks. I used half my sheet. Plus lots of x chart shots too. Some rolls get an additional role, which is where you can get double or triple bogies or double eagles, which we had two today.

Moving afternoon has finally arrived, and so far that movement has been backwards. Erick Dachel has removed the rust from his first 18 with a nice start, birdies at 2 and 4. Ty Whit dropped shots at 2 and 3, Angus MacHaggis has loosened up, sort of speak, and birdied 1, but missed his tee shot left on 2 and made double. Poor Shane Kormerlink, bogey on 1, then 2, then stubbed his drive well short on 3 and made 6 for a double.
David Gonzalez with birdies on 1 and 2 to put him on track to play Sunday. Jesse Ewiak birdied 1, then bogied 3, Sarah Juckett and Mar Mel doubled 3. Controversy on whether Mar stole Sarah's panties out of her locker, not sure what that's about, or if we really want too.
David Yellope is the only one in his group to oar the first two holes, the others dropped a shot already. Deacon Palmer birdied 1, AJ Tucker and Matt Jones bogied their opening hole.

Well, everybody's off for the round now. The cut stands at the moment at +1 and certainly the way things are going, anybody playing tomorrow has a shot at winning this thing. The key is surviving the first three holes and holding on from there.
The big noisemaker from the rear, Erick Dachel, added birdies at 6, 7, and 8. -5 on the round, he has gone from buying a train ticket tonight to Wentworth to reserving another night at the hotel. He's the only one in his group to be remotely under par on the round, Ty Whit added bogey on 5, Shane Kormelink birdied 6, but sits at +8. Angus MacHaggis is having too good of a time to care about score, bogey on 6, birdie on 8.
Jesse Ewiak has come out of a four round slump. Eagle at 6 followed by birdie at 7 has him four shots out. David Gonzalez gave one back at 5, but +1 should be good enough to play tomorrow. Sarah Juckett birdied 6, she told our course reporter that she doesn't wear thongs and has no idea where Mar Mel got his thong. Mel went bird-bogey-birdie-bogey.
David Yellope having a solid round of note, the clone of Darren Clarke birdied 3 and 4. Jeebs Eckberg bogied six, rumours running rampant that the cool Swede was seen last night at a strip club. Al Mighty wasn't mighty, he doubled 4. N Waeltz bogey on 4, birdie on 5, then bogey on 6.
AJ Tucker got his shot back on 2, but gave it away on three. Matt Jones put one on the railway he'll soon be riding, and tripled the 3rd. Todd Henry's birdies on 4 and 5 have put him level, while Deacon Palmer birdied 3 to see the red side of the card.
Brian Fowler doubled 1, Tim Watts birdied 3, gave it back on 4. Woody Driver doubled 3, two bad holes on the back nine last week cost him money. Kevin Heath also found the rails on 3, but birdied 4, +1 now after that triple.
The last group has gotten through 3 without the difficukty of the rest of the field. Karl Schexnayder briefly was at -6, but gave back his birdie on 1 with interest with a double on 2. K. A. Ton, bogied 3. Dylan Airhart, bogied 2, but birdied 3. This leaves us with the "Canadian Sushi Express" Mike Tokunaga, his birdie on 1 has given him the lead.

Edited for Todd's score.
Well, the 11th hole giveth and the 12th taketh away. As you can see from the above board, David Gonzalez has become the hottest golfer on the course. Birdie at 8, and 9 made him -1 at the turn, but at the 11th...
Now Gonzalez has about 295 here with his second, with a 3 wood. That's a solid swing. Riding up the green rather nicely, and....WOAH, HE HOLED IT!
The third double eagle of the week puts Gonzalez one back at -4. But that wasn't the only fireworks in the last hour. After a bogey at 4, Karl Schexnayder bounced a 7 iron into the hole at the par 3 5th for an ace! He later bogied 6.
Anyway, here's how things stack up by group as we reach the mid point of round 2, that cut could be under par. Amazing. Mike Tokunaga bogied the 7th, while K.A. Ton birdied 4. That's how the lead switched hands. Dylan Airhart bogied 6, birdied 7.
I said a bit earlier that the 12th hole taketh away, and unfortunately for Erick Dachel, he was the one that it was taken away from. His tee shot found a big bunker and buried. Hitting his third out of the bunker, the ball rolled into the thick gorse, ending up with an 6 on the par 3 and back to +4. Ty Whit bogied 12 as well, Shane Kormerlink bogied 10, but birdied 11 and 12, MacHaggis birdied 10.
Jesse Ewiak is doing the birdie-bogey dance, bogey at 8 and 10, birdie at 9 and 11. Sarah Juckett birdied 8, Mar Mel birdied 11. Brian Fowler followed his bogey on 5 with an eagle on 6. Tim Watts dropped one on 6, but birdied 7 and 8. Woody Driver grinded out a birdie on 8.
AJ Tucker birdied 6 and 8, front side 37 for him. Matt Jones must be a bat fatigued, bogies now at 7, 8, and 9. The not forgotten Todd Henry broke par with his birdie on 8. Deacon Palmer birdied 6, but bogied 7.
Jeebs Eckberg exchanged shot at 7 and 8, birdie-bogey. Al Mighty with bogies at 8, 9, and 10. N Waeltz doubled 8. David Yellope seemed oblivious to his groups troubles, a birdie on 9 gave him a front side 32.
More in a bit.

Well this second round seems to be coming to a boiling climax. Mike Tounaga finished the front 9 with birdies at 8 and 9, while Karl Schexnayder birdied 10 to stay one back. By and large, three of these four will play the final round tomorrow together as K.A. Ton remains at -5. Dylan Airhart fans will be upset he bogied 11.
Brian Fowler is getting in position for a Sunday charge, birdies at 9, 10, and 12 have him at -3, Tim Watts birdied 10, bogied 12. Woody Driver birdied 11 and 12. He's a steady player. Kevin Heath birdied 9 and 11.
AJ Tucker birdied 13 to pull level and is on the line. Deacon Palmer dropped one on 12, he'll sweat out those closing holes. Matt Jones birdied 10, bogied 12.
David Yellope is the only one in his group playing tomorrow, a birdie at 11 has him maybe in the final group. Jeebs Eckberg traded two birdies for a bogey and a double. The wheels are coming off the other two.
Jesse Ewiak doubled 14, still with a good shot of making it if he pars out or makes one coming in. David Gonzalez bogied 12 and 15, but -2 is safe. Mar Mel traded bogey and birdie on 12 and 13, but birdied 15. Sarah Juckett is very fatigued.
Last group playing the string, Ty whit had the only birdie, that on 16.

For those who are on trains tonight, the end of the links season could not come quick enough. Jesse Ewiak doubled 18 after birdie at 17, but just might play tomorrow. David Gonzalez lost shots at 17 and 18, but gets paid anyway. Mar Mel bogied-birdied 16 and 17.. Erick Dachel's first tournament ended double bogey-birdie.
Up on top of the leaderboard, K.A. Ton eagled 13, and bogied 14. Mike Tokunaga bogied 12 and 13. Dylan Airhart exchanged birdie-bogey at 13 and 14. Brian Fowler bogied 14, whilt tim Watts birdied it, then tripled 15. Woody Driver hit a daily double he didn't want too, on 14 and 15. Kevin Heath doubled 13.
Despite bogies on 15 and 16, AJ Tucker still is in tomorrow, Matt Jones birdied 14, 15, and 16, and now finds himself with a chance for money with two holes to play. Todd Henry doubled 14, but birdied 16.
David Yellope dropped one on 15 but remains nine shots ahead of his closest group member.

The FGT has issued a policy effective immediately that if a round is canceled to weather, it will be made up the next day and the tournament will be extended one day. The FGT is highly concerned about the stamina of it's players. While 36 holes is a long day, and this course is tough, the collapse of the tour's best in the last two hours today is un acceptable. Expect a fitness regimen to be introduced for next week.

David Gonzalez birdied 2. Tim Watts bogied 1. Fowler exchenged bogey-birdie at 2 and 3.
Last group off saw overnight leader Mike Tokunaga miss the first green and could not convert a long par saving putt. K.A. Ton hit a solid iron into the second green and tied the tournament with his birdie. Dave Yellope 3 puted the first hole for bogey.

Mike Tokunaga's tee shot on three found the 3 O'Clock London Express' first class coach. He made 7, a triple bogey. Dave Yellope almost bounced one of the train, but didn't quit miss that far right, made double from the gorse. Todd Henry's fatigue is showing, bogey at 4 and 5.
Brian Fowler birdied 4 and then birdied the par 5 6th, he now one back of Ton who trew in 3 straight pars. Karl Schexnayder took advantage of plying the opening holes at even par, and birdied 6, 3 back. David Gonzalez bogied 5, but even still could win today. Tim Watts bogied 5 and 6.
Todd Heath has 7 pars while Deacon Palmer birdied 5 and 7 to get to level. Dylan Airhart bogied 6 while Ewiak bogied 5 and birdied 7.

We seem to be having a two man show as the inagural Sports Interactive Open hits the back nine for the final time. Like a romantic scene out of a war movie, as two people find eternal happiness when death and destruction surrounds them. That's the case you can make for Brian Fowler and K.A. Ton and their golf games here today at Royal Lytham and Saint Anne's. Ton birdied the pair of par 5's, 6 and 7, to sit at -7. Fowler birdied 7, and added a birdie at 9, a front side 32 and one back.
Mike Tokunaga would birdie 7, but bogey 8. Todd Henry birdied 6, but had another bad daily double, on 7 and 8. Karl Schexnayder birdies 7, but 3 putts on 8 for bogey. David Gonzalez should be careful what he wishes for. Yes he's consistent, but he's still at lever par after birdie-bogey thing on 7 and 8. Tim Watts has his head screwed on right again, three straight birdies to shoot an even par 36 on the front side.
Kevin Heath brdied 8, while Deacon Palmer birdied 8 and 9. While Jesse Ewiak birdied 9, and Dylan Airhart birdied 10.

The bloodbath continued on the back 9.
K.A. Ton survives at -7 to win.
Karl Schexnayder second at -3.
All the gory details later. It's not very climactic.
This course will not be used except for majors again. While a fair and challenging course, only 3 golfers broke par for the week. This is supposed to be a fun tour with grueling majors thrown in. I'm not sure how realistic this course played this week with the skill levels you guys have.

Absoluetly not, if this was a major.
I'll link the spreadsheet used for the course probably tomorrow. Having bogey chances a plenty is ok but too many doubles and triples on every hole. I think I might use this as the Open Championship course next year as supposed to Saint Andrews.
We'll hold St. Andrews for the Ryder Cup.
