how is the sony dual layer dvd writer (sony dru700a)?

NEC (the NEC 3500a) makes a very nice budget dvd writer which when upgraded with firmware will do dual layer. Pioneer is in that same ballpark as well. I don't know who the "best" is though, sorry.
