Terrell Owens and his dance against Baltimore STILL on Thursday? The media complains that TO is doing these things to draw attention to himself. What do they do then? They ask every player in the NFL to comment about TO?

People just hate him cause he knows he is the best and is not afraid to tell anyone about it.

Err... Terrell Owens is not the best by any stretch of the imagination. And yes, people don't like others with no humility. Not hard to understand why.

Who is better? Randy Moss? Please that dude doesn't even give the effort T.O. does...

There's a difference between being confident in your ability and being an arrogent jackass. TO is the second one.

Haha. T.O. backs up what he talks... if he was a bad player he would be gone but he is not and he gets paid the big bucks.

I thought the same way a few years ago. Moss has improved his game tenfold sinse then. He does give better effort and he's a better WR. Better hands, MUCH better hands.

And yes, teams definately would rather face Moss over TO. TO doesn't have the leaping ability or the pure speed of Randy. Watch a Vikings game sometime, forget double teaming Moss, most teams triple team him for a lot of the game.

He's simply the best WR in the league right now. TO has had an incredible start to the season. He's a terrific player. But Moss is better. Sorry.

The only thing you've stated that makes Owens better is effort and Moss' lack of effort was exagerated some and is its not even an issue anymore. Moss will often draw a corner, a safety, and the other safety will shade his way in case he goes deep. And he still runs by all of them. Moss' hands are better than Owens', not even close there. Route running is roughly the same. Neither outstanding, but both solid.

In what area is T.O. better?

Moss is better than TO by a wide, wide margin.

I've learned one thing when it comes to Moss and that is not to piss the man off. The man went nuts on the Cowboys corners after Newsome decided to talk shit to him.

As Moss said, no one sees the coverages that he does. Before Moss got injured, Culpepper usually had no problem finding an open reciever because the coverage was so slanted towards Moss they couldn't cover everyone. In the last two games when he's hardley played it hasn't been nearly that easy.

I think I side with Noop on this one. I think Moss could and should be the better receiver. I think he has more talent than T.O., but I don't think he performs as well as T.O. on the field. On a given play I'd rather have Moss on the field. He gets the edge because he dominates when he puts his mind to it. If it comes down to who I want playing for me for an entire season, I'd say T.O.

Who cares about his dance anyway? Ray Lewis? If you don't want him doing some kinda crazy dance, or doing YOUR dance (copyright the damn thing if it is YOUR dance), then keep him from touching the ball. If you're going to let the guy make plays, you get what you get. It's a funny story, but a Sunday story...not a week-long story.

What i found funny was Ray Lewis's response "he shouldn't be dancing out there after one play"

Yet old ray lewis likes to do his freaking dance after making a simple tackle in the 2nd quarter of a game?

I really don't get the big deal here. I thought it was funny the way he did the Ray dance. I kind of side with TO here...it's only entertainment people. Lewis is just a big baby and hypocrite unless this whole thing is just designed to stir the pop for us. I can totally see them getting together after and concocting some sort of story line.

Actually, Hines Ward has better stats than either Moss or T.O. according to NFL.com. If you don't watch Steeler games on a regular basis, you have no idea how good Ward is.

He is very good but not the player TO or Moss is.

Ward is great because he is a fantastic blocker and never drops a pass. He lacks the gamebreaking ability of TO or Moss.

not sure how you measure that. there's no denying the production you get from TO or Moss no matter what you think of the man himself.

no knock in Hines, he's a fine player, but the physical skill is the differentiating factor.

1,000 yard seasons- Moss 6, Owens 5
100 catch seasons- Moss 2, Owens 1
10+ TD seasons- Moss 5, Owens 4
Seasons Played- Moss 6, Owens 8

and T.O. outperforms Moss on the field?

Moss never hasn't had a good receiver lining up opposite him since Carter retired. Combine decent receivers opposite Moss and a partially torn hammy and T.O. stats are going to look better than Moss'.

Jeff Garcia wasn't exactly a bad QB. His career numbers number are better than McNabb's and they entered the league the same year. I'm not saying he's better than McNabb, but he's not a bad QB either and I wouldn't say T.O.'s numbers suffered because of him.

Don't forget that TO didn't step in right away. He took a little longer to develop.

Moss was a freak right out of school.

Today, no matter what transpired previously, they are of very similar skill level.

TO is more physical but Moss has better hands.

I think if you lined up a draft today with Moss and Owens in it there's no question who would be number one. Everyone in the league, including the Eagles would draft Moss first without question.

Moss didn't have a decent receiver line up with him since Carter?

Who does TO have in Philly? Who did he have in SF

Moss had Culpepper throwing to him for how many years?

TO had Garcia

All this crap about him being a jack*** is insane, he never had any off the field incident so the guy is entertaining the masses.

If the networks don't like what he is doing then stop showing it.
If the players don't like what he's doing than stop him from scoring.
If the fans from other teams don't like it, tough S**t.

And Moss had better numbers than T.O. when he was in San Fran. And as I said, now that Moss has a partially torn hammy and receivers on the opposite side his numbers are down a bit.

You don't need off the field incidents to be jackass. There many ways to accomplish this and T.O. covers a lot of them.

Bringing up the the murder charge is entertaining the masses?

You know at first I didn't get why you kept defending Moss but now I know... your a Marshall fan... not that it means anything just something I noticed. Here is a tidbit Moss was suppose to go to Notre Dame but couldn't get in or wasnt allowed in so he went to Florida State where he was forced to redshirt but screw up and got kicked out of school.

So? That's pretty much public knowledge. Has nothing to do with the players we see today on the field.

Notre Dame released him from his scholarship because he beat the hell of some guy at Dupont HS for a racial slur. He was put on probation and then pissed hot while at FSU and Bowden let him go (I'm shocked that's all it took at FSU). Then he chose Marshall over WVU because, "WVU doesn't win big games".

Jeff Garcia's numbers in San Fran:

Year Cmp Att Pct Yards Avg. TD INT
1999 255 375 60% 2544 6.8 11 11
2000 355 561 63% 4278 7.6 31 10
2001 316 504 63% 3538 7.0 32 12
2002 328 528 62% 3344 6.3 21 10
2003 225 392 57% 2704 6.9 18 13
Tot. 1449 2360 62% 16408 7.0 113 56

Wow, I really didn't understand until now how rough it was for T.O. to play with Garcia at QB. He would have done much better with Cunningham and George, two guys no one was interested in giving a full time starting job after leaving Minnesota, or Frerotte who was forced to take a backup position in Minnesota when he couldn't find a starting job anywhere.

And Moss and Owens through 6 games:

Ctch Yards TD
Moss 26 394 8
Owens 30 487 6

Close overall, though Owens wouldn't have put up numbers like that if he saw the same kind of defensive coverages as Moss.
