It's great being a Captain in the Army. Now the civilians around here say "Aye aye Captain!"
Then I say, "I can't heaaaaaaaaaar you!"
Then they say, "AYE AYE CAPTAIN!!!"
And then we go about our business.

I wish my last name was Woody and I was a Major in the Army. That would be cool.

I did some consulting work for a guy once whose name was Richard Suckett(I can't recall the exact spelling, but it was pronounced the way you think it would be). I sort of grinned when he told me his first name, and he said "Oh go ahead and laugh. I was in the Army.".

As for weird names, I once worked for a man named Major Dykes. :)

Am I the only one that feels like there was a Spongebob Squarepants reference missed here?
Congratulations! I must warn you, I call most captains (O-6 in the Navy) "Captain Crunch".

The cool thing about being a captain in another service working with the Navy is when you call someone on the phone and tell them you're Captain So-an-so and you need something done you'll be amazed at how courteous and swift the response will be compared to asking someone in your own service to do it.
