Not named Jose Canseco.
Today on the morning show on WWLS-Oklahoma City, they talked to afternoon host, Jim Trabor regarding the steroids. It came up when they were going over the 50-home run hitters since George Foster and guessing whether they did or not. Pretty much they decided that the only one's who hadn't were Griffey, A-Rod, and Fielder. They weren't sure about Luis Gonzalez, so they called Trabor, a former D-Backs color commentator.
Anyway, they called him and he said that he thought Albert Belle probably didn't (the hosts guessed he used them), because he played with him and he was crazy then too and wasn't using them. He also, interestingly, said that he would guess Griffey used them, and that you don't have to be huge to be on steroids. He also guessed that A-Rod didn't, and didn't get asked about Cecil (seems like a pretty obvious no). He also said that he might guess yes on Brady Anderson, but that he was the first big leaguer to use creotine, and used it hard, but ultimately it could have been a cover.
Then, he was asked about Gonzalez and got kind of quiet and said "no comment." followed by another few seconds and "But, I hate to say it, but if I had to guess I'd say yes. I mean, he had three kids and just, I mean, I don't know one way or another, but I would have to guess yes," which leads me to think that it's pretty much a yes.
Just thought I'd pass that along, since it wasn't a national interview or anything like that, just local radio morning show stuff.
