Catch phrases from movies or t.v. ( e.g., "I'll be back") infect our society all the time but usually run their course in short order. For the vast majority of cases this is a good thing.
However, there are those times when a saying, activity, or habit is picked up from a movie and t.v. show and incorporated into a person's life permanently.
I was reminded of this tonight as I turned on the tube and an episode of Stargate SG1 was running and the first thing I see is Teal'c saying "indeed" and I noticed that I use "indeed" and awful lot in both written and vocal communication and I know it has to be from watching this show.
I have also incorporated "d'oh" into my lexicon and not just because it reminds me of teh funny that is The Simpsons, but because it just fits the instances where it blurts out.
